01 Use as intended

Every product page lists what an item is for, its age guidance and any warnings. Please follow them and the instructions in the box. Using a product in ways it isn’t designed for can be dangerous and isn’t covered by Our promise.

02 Batteries and charging

Many of our products have rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

• Use the cable that came with the product, or a certified charger with the same rating.
• Don’t charge overnight or on beds, sofas or other soft surfaces.
• Don’t charge or use an item if it’s swollen, cracked, wet or hot to the touch.
• Keep away from heat sources and direct sun, like a car dashboard in summer.
• Recycle batteries at a battery drop-off point, never in household trash. See call2recycle.org.

03 Heated products

For heated blankets, shawls and similar items:

• Don’t use on infants, young children, or anyone who can’t feel heat or remove the item themselves.
• Don’t fall asleep with heat on unless the product has an auto shut-off and says it’s safe to.
• Don’t fold, crush or sit on the heating element while it’s on.
• Check the cable and fabric for damage before each use.

04 Small parts, magnets and button batteries

Some items contain small parts, strong magnets or button/coin batteries.

• Choking hazard: keep small parts away from children under 3.
• Magnets: if swallowed, magnets can attract each other inside the body and cause serious injury. Get medical help right away.
• Button batteries: if swallowed, they can cause severe internal burns within two hours. Call the National Battery Ingestion Hotline at 800-498-8666 or go to an emergency room immediately.

05 Children’s products

Toys and products for children under 12 meet US safety requirements under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), and carry the required tracking labels and Children’s Product Certificate. Age guidance is on each product page. Adult supervision is always a good idea.

06 Lights, lasers and LEDs

Don’t look directly into bright LEDs, projectors or laser modules, and never point them at people, animals, vehicles or aircraft. We only sell laser products within US legal power limits.

07 Electronics

Electronic products are marked for US use (such as FCC compliance) where required. Use them indoors and keep them dry unless the product page says otherwise.

09 Not medical advice

Some products, like massagers or posture aids, are for general comfort and wellness. They aren’t medical devices and aren’t meant to diagnose, treat or cure anything. Talk to a doctor if you’re pregnant, have a medical condition or a pacemaker, or aren’t sure a product is right for you.

10 Recalls and safety notices

If a product we sold is recalled or found unsafe, we’ll email every customer who bought it with instructions and a remedy (refund, replacement or repair). There are no recall notices at this time. You can also check cpsc.gov/Recalls.

11 Report a safety problem

If a product overheats, sparks, smokes, breaks in a way that could hurt someone, or causes an injury:

1. Stop using it and unplug it, if it’s safe to.
2. Email hello@heyarcadewrld.com with “Safety” in the subject, your order number and photos.
3. We reply the same business day and pull the product from sale while we look into it.

You can also report it to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission at SaferProducts.gov.

12 Limitation

We’re not responsible for harm caused by using a product against its instructions or warnings, or after it has been modified. This doesn’t limit your rights under product liability law.
