Order cancellation
Ordered the wrong thing, or had second thoughts at 2am? Here’s how to change or cancel an order, and how fast you need to be.
The short version
30 seconds
- Cancel or change any order for free within 12 hours of placing it.
- After that, we’ll still try, as long as it hasn’t shipped.
- Once it has shipped, it becomes a return.
- Cancelled orders are refunded in full to your original payment method.

The free cancellation window
You can cancel or change your order free of charge within 12 hours of placing it. Email hello@heyarcadewrld.com with your order number and “Cancel” or “Change” in the subject line, or use the link in your order confirmation email.
We pass orders to our warehouses quickly so they ship fast. That’s why the window is short.
After the window
If more than 12 hours have passed but your order hasn’t shipped, we’ll ask the warehouse to stop it. If they can, we cancel and refund in full. If they can’t, the parcel ships as normal and you can return it under our Refund & return policy.
After it ships
We can’t cancel a shipped order or redirect it to a new address. You can refuse delivery or return it within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping on change-of-mind returns is paid by you.
What you can change
Before your order ships, we can usually:
- Fix a typo in the shipping address.
- Swap a colour or variant of the same product, if it’s in stock.
- Remove an item (we refund the difference; if your total drops under $50, the shipping charge applies).
We can’t add items to an order that’s already placed. Place a second order instead, and if both qualify for free shipping we won’t charge you twice.
When we cancel an order
We may cancel an order, in whole or in part, and refund you in full if:
- The item sold out at our warehouse after you paid.
- There was an obvious pricing or listing error.
- Our fraud checks flag the payment, or we can’t verify it.
- We can’t deliver to the address given.
We’ll always email you to explain, and we’ll offer an alternative where we can.
Refund timing
Refunds for cancelled orders are issued within 1 business day of the cancellation. Your bank or card provider usually posts it within 3–10 business days. Pending card authorisations may simply drop off your statement instead of showing as a refund.
Pre-orders and backorders
If an item is marked pre-order or backorder, its estimated ship date is shown on the product page. You can cancel it for free at any time before it ships.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one posted on the day you placed it.
